ST. LOUIS, MO --(Marketwired - March 26, 2015) - Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, a Lasallian Catholic institution offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees at multiple campuses and centers, has selected Three Rivers Systems' CAMS Enterprise as its new enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Saint Mary's enrolls 5,800 students at its residential undergraduate college in Winona and through its Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs, based in Minneapolis but extending worldwide.

According to Brother William Mann, FSC, Saint Mary's president, "We're in the midst of implementing a five-year strategic plan and one of our priorities is to steward and strengthen our resources. After reviewing our operations, we identified several areas where a new ERP system could help us improve our productivity and enhance the student experience."

To select a new ERP solution, Saint Mary's embarked on a collaborative process that included 75 individuals spread across its operations, including administrators, IT professionals, and end-users. It also elicited the services of David Johnson of JohnsonERP to manage the selection process and act as the project manager for the implementation. After a nine-month endeavor that included a review of all major vendors, Saint Mary's selected CAMS Enterprise from Three Rivers Systems.

Benjamin Murray, vice president for financial affairs, cited several distinctive features of CAMS Enterprise that made it Saint Mary's top choice. "First, it's a totally integrated system where all data resides in a common, shared database. This will allow us to automate manual processes, reduce paperwork, and provide our staff with real-time access to information about our students. Second, its built-in business analytics and reporting capabilities will help us make smart decisions based on accurate data and analysis. Third, CAMS can be implemented more quickly than alternative solutions and with the least disruption to our operations. Finally, and just as important as the software features, we believe Three Rivers Systems is the type of company with whom we can build an enduring relationship to support the ongoing mission to grow the university."

Amir Tajkarimi, founder and president of Three Rivers Systems, welcomed Saint Mary's University of Minnesota to the CAMS community. "Saint Mary's is staking its claim as a top-tier national university recognized for its global footprint and its distinctive commitment to teaching and learning, ethical leadership, the sciences, and online education. It prepares its graduates with the advanced knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities to be lifelong learners, successful workers, good neighbors, and ethical citizens. We're excited to become a partner with Saint Mary's as it fulfills its long-term goals to innovate, grow, and be a good steward of its resources."
