First in Salvage Industry to Offer Assignment Capability on iOS devices

WESTCHESTER, Ill., Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. (IAA), a business unit of KAR Auction Services KAR, and the leading live and live-online salvage auto auction company, today announced the launch of a mobile Vehicle Assignment feature as part of the CSAToday® by IAA iOS app. This new feature offers CSAToday® customers "anywhere" access to begin an assignment with IAA while streamlining the user experience and enhancing the application capabilities through GPS location services.

"We focus on developing technology that best serves our customers, who are on-the-go and value flexibility and efficiency," said John Kett, CEO and president, IAA. "The mobile Vehicle Assignment feature further exemplifies IAA's continued commitment to building innovative solutions for our customers."

Vehicle Assignment transitions the desktop assignment process into a simplified, "five swipe" workflow. Each of the five sections focuses on the required fields only; users simply swipe through the application and complete the information on the Seller, Owner, Vehicle, Location and Pickup. Vehicle Assignment also harnesses built-in iPhone technology, such as camera functionality for VIN scanning and GPS for location entry, to reduce manual effort.  Users can also track their assignments by any of the share options their iOS device supports, including: text, email, print or AirDrop.

Vehicle Assignment is one of many features available on the CSAToday® by IAA iOS app, available now on the Apple iTunes store.
