CINCINNATI, OH --(Marketwired - November 28, 2014) - Anderson Dental Care, a leading Cincinnati dental clinic located in Anderson Township, offered free dental cleanings to all current and past military personnel on Veterans Day.

On Nov. 11, military men and women not only received free cleanings but also received a 50 percent discount on all fillings and crowns diagnosed that day.

This is the second year the Cincinnati cosmetic dental practice has offered the special deal to military service men and women. There are more than 850,000 veterans in Ohio and about 22 million veterans across the United States, according to the United States Department of Veteran Affairs.

Dr. Nathan Brooks, the owner of Anderson Dental Care, said the practice received thank you cards from veterans last year, as well as positive feedback from patients who are not veterans or servicemembers. He wanted to continue the tradition this year to show continued support for servicemen and women.

"Many veterans don't have access to the care they need and deserve, so we're hoping to help get them on track with that necessary care for their oral health," the Cincinnati dentist said.

Anderson Dental Care is a comprehensive family dental clinic that provides preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and sedation dentistry. Individual services include fillings, fluoride treatment, crowns, implant crowns, bridges, dentures, Invisalign, professional teeth whitening, night guards, mouth guards and dental sealants. The staff is foremost concerned with patient comfort, which is why the practice offers free paraffin wax hand dips, a relaxing treatment typical for a spa but available in this Anderson Township dental office.

Dr. Brooks was raised in West Lafayette, Ind., as the youngest of four children. Dr. Books was inspired to become a dentist by his grandfather, who was a biology professor at Purdue University. Dr. Brooks attended Brigham Young University-Idaho for his undergraduate degree and then received his master's degree in biology from Purdue University. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University and has since undergone hundreds of hours in continuing education courses to offer services like Invisalign.

Dr. Brooks purchased Anderson Dental Care one year ago, but many of his staff members have been with the office for 20 years or longer. Anderson Dental Care is now accepting a variety of insurances through an in-network provider, and Dr. Brooks plans to remodel the office, starting with the lobby.

Dr. Brooks is community oriented and enjoys completing service projects locally and internationally. Dr. Brooks, who is fluent in Spanish, has treated unserved communities through dental humanitarian trips to Honduras and Ecuador. In addition to his special dental offer in November for men and women in military service, Dr. Brooks offers children free ToothPrints for National Children's Dental Health Month in February. The practice also is a Toys-for-Tots drop-off location.
