This week NTHEO introduces the "kormos" ring.

"Kormos" or "kormoz" is the spiritual devil of the Altaic people. "Kormos" means in Turkic languages "does not see" or "blind." It is an evil and impure spirit. It was also described as a black entity living in the Underworld. This spirit is associated with ancestral spirits and follows a man throughout his lifetime, recording all of his deeds. In Greek it means the torso of a human or a tree trunk. Nikolaos Theodoridis tries to combine and express these two meanings of the word “kormos within this ring. The silver has been carefully sculptured as a tree trunk, filled with deep blue and yellow enamel representing the evil and impure spirit. A commemoration of Nikolaos to the modern man for his deeds in present life and his destiny. The price for the ring is 199€, and it is for sale exclusively at ntheo.net.

For this collection, Nikolaos was inspired by men of different origins who lived in his hometown Thessaloniki in the 1900s, when different cultures and customs made Thessaloniki a cosmopolitan city.

The rings are handmade out of sterling silver and accompanied with exotic woods. Each is individually filled with colorful enamels, semi precious stones, and fine filigree silver work. Each ring can be customized to the wishes of each customer, his style, and budget.

For the next eleven weeks, Theodoridis will introduce each week a new design of this jewelry collection called "Male."
