Board declares $0.12 quarterly cash dividend on common stock resulting in current annual yield of 2.5%

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercantile Bank Corporation MBWM ("Mercantile") announced today that on October 16, 2014 its Board of Directors declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.12 per common share, payable December 24, 2014 to holders of record as of December 12, 2014.

"As we continue to integrate operations following the June merger with Firstbank Corporation, Mercantile remains in a strong financial condition that affords us the ability to declare a fourth quarter cash dividend, consistent with our continuing commitment to provide a meaningful return to shareholders," said Michael Price, President and CEO of Mercantile.
