PEORIA, Ill., Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Caterpillar Inc. CAT is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the 2014 High Horsepower Summit (HHP) Summit, October 6-9 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event is North America's leading conference on the use of natural gas to fuel high horsepower operations. As an industry leader in the design and manufacture of dual-fuel and natural gas engines, Caterpillar plans to highlight its commitment to delivering the highest customer value for energy and power systems operations, as well as rail, marine and mining applications.

Caterpillar product displays will include the 3512 DGB engine for oil and gas applications, the Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) 710 engine for locomotive and marine applications, MaK dual-fuel, medium speed engines for marine application and gas powered electric power products that feature the lowest owning and operating costs in the industry. HHP attendees will also hear about the company's positive results with its products currently being tested in the field. EMD's liquefied natural gas locomotive test units have incurred more than 5,000 test miles and achieved successful performance results while operating in North America this year.
