Terumo Europe NV Showcases BSD Medical's MicroThermX® at CIRSE

BSD Medical Corporation BSDM announced today that Terumo Europe NV (Terumo), a wholly owned subsidy of Terumo Corporation, successfully showcased BSD's MicroThermX^® Microwave Ablation System (MicroThermX) at the annual Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) conference, the world's largest and most prestigious conference in the field of minimally invasive image-guided therapies.

Terumo hosted hands-on workshops which provided physicians the opportunity to see firsthand how the MicroThermX is applicable to treating diseased soft tissue (tumors). In addition, Professors P. Chevailier (Nice/FR) and J. –Y Gaubert (Marseille/FR) presented a study on the benefits of the MicroThermX system titled, “In vivo experimental evaluation of ablation volumes obtained by microwave in the lung and liver with MicroThermX.” Finally, Terumo sponsored a presentation on the “Clinical Benefits of Multiple Antenna Application,” in which BSD's MicroThermX system was featured.
