Leading Software Industry Executive, Andre Boisvert, Appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of RES Software

RES Software, the leader in IT as a Service, today announced the appointment of Andre Boisvert as Chairman of its Board of Directors. Mr. Boisvert brings to his new role over three decades of senior management experience in the global software industry, including a long track record of leadership as an executive, board member and advisor to companies poised for hyper growth.

Boisvert started his career with IBM in 1976 where he held senior management positions in sales, marketing and research and development. After IBM, Boisvert held executive positions in some of the most respected companies in the tech industry, such as Cognos Inc., where he held various senior level positions during their transformation to a business intelligence software company, and Oracle Corporation, where he served as senior vice president of worldwide marketing and a member of Oracle's management committee. In 2000, Boisvert was recruited as President and Chief Operation Officer of SAS Institute Inc., the world's largest privately held software company with revenues currently exceeding $3 billion a year. He then joined one of SAS' investments and became Chairman and CEO of Sagent Technologies Inc. SGNT, which he successfully sold to Group 1 Software Inc. GSOF.

Mr. Boisvert also has experience as a board member of publicly traded VA Software Inc. LNUX, the creator and owner of SourceForge, the largest worldwide repository of open source projects; and as co-founder of Pentaho Corporation, the world's most popular commercial open source business intelligence platform; as well as experience with several other privately and publicly held companies in both the U.S. and Europe.
