Giving financial planners access to the most innovative and respected thinkers of the planning profession, the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Personal Financial Planning Section announced its schedule of keynote speakers for the 2015 Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference in Las Vegas Jan. 19-21, 2015. This year's award winning speakers will address important themes ranging from tax and economic insights to Gen-Savvy advisor strategies.

The 2015 conference speakers include:

Mitch Anthony, Owner, Advisor Insights. For more than a decade, this best-selling author has provided training and development for both individual advisors and major organizations throughout the world. Anthony has also authored or coauthored many books for advisors and consumers, including StorySelling for Financial Advisors, Defining Conversations, From the Boiler Room to the Living Room, The New Retirementality, Your Clients for Life, Your Client's Story, The Cash in the Hat, and The Bean is not Green. Cam Marston, President and Owner, Generational Insights. One of the nation's leading experts on generational change marketing strategies, Marston studies demographic trends and relates these trends worldwide. He has worked with industry leading companies and organizations ranging from the Boy Scouts to Wells Fargo Bank to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Session Topic: the Gen-Savvy Financial Advisor

Dr. Arthur Laffer, PhD., founder and chairman, Laffer Associates. Recognized as “The Father of Supply-Side Economics” for his economic acumen and influence in triggering a world-wide tax-cutting movement in the 1980s, Dr. Laffer provides economic global investment-research services to institutional asset managers, pension funds, financial institutions, and corporations. He has received several awards for his economic work including: two Graham and Dodd Awards from the Financial Analyst Federation for outstanding feature articles published in the Financial Analysts Journal; the Distinguished Service Award by the National Association of Investment Clubs; the Adam Smith Award for his insights and contributions to the Wealth of Nations; and the Daniel Webster Award for public speaking by the International Platform Association. Barry Melancon, CPA, CGMA, President and CEO, American Institute of CPAs. Melancon is responsible for spearheading a number of initiatives designed to benefit not only the CPA profession, but also investors, business owners, lenders and the general public. He has raised the visibility and reputation of the AICPA and the CPA profession through his work with the AICPA which has included development of audit quality centers; private company reporting standards; eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL); the computerized CPA exam; and two consumer financial literacy education programs. Melancon is also a member of the AICPA's delegation to the International Federation of Accountants, whose broad objective is the development and enhancement of a coordinated worldwide accountancy profession with harmonized standards. New to the conference this year is a mini track on insurance and risk management. Sessions will explore issues with long term care, P&C and advanced life insurance strategies, including life settlements.
