Magellan Complete Care of Florida Expands Services to Members in Regions Seven and Nine

AVON, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Magellan Complete Care of Florida, part of Magellan Health, Inc. MGLN, today expanded its services to members in regions seven and nine, encompassing Orlando, Palm Beach and surrounding areas.

Magellan Complete Care of Florida, the first and only Medicaid specialty plan in the country for individuals living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), launched in regions 10 and 11 on July 1, which includes Monroe, Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

Magellan Complete Care of Florida expects to enroll between 30,000 and 50,000 members by the end of the year.

Magellan Complete Care's model centers around a Care Coordination Team, which works with members, their doctors, counselors, family and caregivers to improve communication, set goals for recovery and enjoying a healthier life. The Care Coordination Team includes a dedicated health guide who can assist members by scheduling and arranging transportation to appointments, working with providers, and helping members succeed in their treatment plans.
