- East Texas market stretches from College Station to Beaumont to Corpus Christi

HOUSTON, June 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- BBVA Compass is continuing to expand its Corpus Christi team as it seeks to take advantage of opportunities in the coastal city.

East Texas Regional Manager for Commercial Banking Dan Brown, who helped the bank grow in the key market of Beaumont, has relocated to Corpus Christi as part of the bank's efforts to build its business there. The bank's East Texas markets include Beaumont, College Station, Corpus Christi, Orange, Nederland and Port Arthur.

"Dan provided excellent leadership in Beaumont, and we're confident Corpus Christi will be the perfect home base for him to help us grow all of our East Texas markets," said Jeff Dudderar, BBVA Compass regional executive for Commercial Banking. "He's already helped us build a strong team of new relationship managers there."

The team Brown hired includes local experts Che Goff and Jerret Krouse, who recently joined the bank to help customers in Corpus Christi with their commercial banking needs.

Brown has nearly a quarter-century of banking experience, including the past eight years for BBVA Compass and its predecessor banks.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Nicholls State University and a graduate degree from the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.

Brown relocated to Corpus Christi on June 1.
