IAM Members Ratify New Labor Agreement For Middletown Works

WEST CHESTER, Ohio, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AK Steel AKS said today that members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local 1943 have ratified a new 42-month labor agreement covering about 1,700 hourly production and maintenance employees at the company's Middletown (OH) Works.

The new agreement was reached early.  It will replace the current agreement, which was set to expire on September 15, 2014.  The new agreement will take effect on September 15, 2014 and expire on March 15, 2018.
