MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dane P. Smith has been promoted to executive vice president and corporate treasurer for First Horizon National Corp. FHN, replacing Thomas C. Adams Jr., who is retiring.

Adams, 64, joined First Horizon in 1983, and he chairs the company's Asset Liability Committee.  

Smith, 32, joined First Horizon in 2004 in the corporate strategy group. As assistant treasurer he has supported various capital, liquidity, investment and balance sheet activities in addition to managing the company's $3 billion investment securities portfolio. Smith is a Chartered Financial Analyst and graduate of Tulane University with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in finance and business management. He will report to William C. "BJ" Losch III, executive vice president and CFO.
