PIKEVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. CTBI is pleased to announce the promotion of C. Wayne Hancock II to Executive Vice President/Senior Staff Attorney. Mr. Hancock joined Community Trust in 2008 and previously held the position of Senior Vice President/Senior Staff Attorney. Prior to joining Community Trust, Mr. Hancock was in private practice for six years and also worked as a public defender for the Department of Public Advocacy.

Mr. Hancock is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law and holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Tennessee Tech University. He has been a member of the Kentucky Bar Association since 2000. His community activities include serving on the Board of Directors of the Pikeville YMCA, membership in the Kentucky Bankers Association, and serving as Chairman of the Transportation Committee of First Baptist Church.

Wayne and his wife, Traci, and children, Trey and Harper, reside in Pikeville, Kentucky.
