SciQuest, Inc. SQI, the largest pure-play provider of cloud-based business automation solutions for spend management, today announced that NextLevel 2014 once again broke an attendance record, drawing 725 attendees from more than 300 organizations. The three-day event, which has become the industry's largest conference solely dedicated to spend management and advanced sourcing, took place at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Conference Center and packed an agenda full of industry best practices, expert knowledge, and hands-on learning.

This year's attendees included customers, partners and industry experts at organizations including BioGen, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg Company, Office Depot, Wendy's QSCC and various universities and state governments. At this year's event, attendees learned about trends and strategies related to spend analysis, sourcing & supplier management, accounts payable, eProcurement, contract management and more.

The event also served as a forum to honor the achievement of customers during the annual “Questie Award” ceremony. The Questies honor organizations and individuals for their efforts in collaborative purchasing and overall innovation. Customers who received awards were: Tennessee Board of Regents, University of Massachusetts, A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, University of Illinois, City of Raleigh, Josh Sell from Wendy's Quality Supply Chain Co-Op, Trudy Pound-Curtis from York University, Wells Fargo, Case Western Reserve University, University of Colorado, Georgia State University and University of Western Ontario.

“Each year, the entire team at SciQuest looks forward to NextLevel because it is the ultimate showcase for the hard work and successes achieved by customers we work with day in and day out,” said Stephen Wiehe, CEO of SciQuest. “And each year, we see more people at the event who are passionate about their work, committed to excellence in procurement and who benefit from hearing about and discussing each others' experiences. Thank you to everyone who came out.”

Attendees also contributed to a good cause, participating in a silent auction with all proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. Participants raised $4,335 for the charity – a total that SciQuest matched, leading to an $8,670 contribution to the Wounded Warriors Project.
