IAA's Rita Figi Nominated To American Heart Association's Chicago Metropolitan Board Of Directors

WESTCHESTER, Ill., Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. (IAA), the leading live and live-online salvage auto auction company and wholly-owned subsidiary of KAR Auction Services, Inc. KAR, today announced that Rita Figi, IAA's vice president of human resources, has been nominated to the Chicago Metropolitan Board of Directors of the American Heart Association, Midwest Affiliate for a two-year term. In this role, Figi will help lead the achievement of the association's mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke through oversight of local revenue generation and health impact activities.

As a member of the Midwest Affiliate Board of Directors, Figi will help oversee the American Heart Association's efforts in an 11-state region, comprised of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Ms. Figi was previously appointed to the American Heart Association's National Compensation & Benefits Advisory Committee last year.

With over 25 years of experience in human resources management, Ms. Figi spearheads national alliances with youth organizations and schools to help develop skills, offer internships, and cultivate interest in the salvage auction industry. She also leads IAA's partnership with Chicago's Cristo Rey Jesuit High School's corporate work study program and SkillsUSA national program. In addition, she recently launched a national partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense in hiring National Guard and Reserve talent.  Prior to joining IAA, Ms. Figi was a director of Benefits at ServiceMaster Management Services Division. She also served in a benefits and employee relations management role at Safelite Auto Glass.
