TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Tucson Electric Power (TEP) this week launched the inaugural edition of Plugged In, a new monthly electronic newsletter for residential customers.

Plugged In, sent via email, offers useful information about money-saving energy-efficiency tips and services, staying safe around electricity, ways to report service interruptions, and how TEP will use social media to communicate directly with customers. Readers also will learn how TEP is strengthening the reliability of Tucson's electrical infrastructure and contributing to community-oriented initiatives.

“With Plugged In, we'll be offering our customers ways to help them save money and make their interactions with TEP more convenient,” said Phil Dion, Senior Vice President of Public Policy and Customer Solutions. “We're hoping this communication channel will be a convenient way for our customers to receive valuable information and news from us.”

The inaugural issue of Plugged In features winter energy conservation tips, ways to save money by using compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs, information about a TEP-Oro Valley partnership to move power lines underground and strengthen power reliability, and what TEP is doing to give back to its community.

Customers who have registered online to receive information from TEP will automatically be included on the Plugged In email distribution list. Other TEP customers may sign up for the new Plugged In at tep.com/news.
