Caracas, Venezuela (PRWEB) January 09, 2014

Derwick Associates is looking to bring its unique brand of experience to Spain.

The energy company has announced that it will be attempting to further expand their reach by investigating opportunities for investment overseas.

A delegation from Derwick Associates, including directors Leopoldo Alejandro Betancourt López, Pedro Trebbau López, Edgard Romero Lazo and Francisco Convit Guruceaga met with the president of the Spanish Association of the Electrical Industry with the hope that they can bring their successful business to Spain.

According to Leopoldo Alejandro Betancourt Lopez, the meeting with the Spanish Association went well. “We liked what we saw from the electrical association and we are definitely interested in further exploring our opportunities overseas,” said Lopez. “We feel like our experience in Venezuela has made us uniquely qualified for this opportunity to expand.”

Derwick Associates does indeed have a unique experience record, as the company was awarded numerous power station contracts during the Venezuelan energy crisis. In a compressed amount of time, Derwick was able to complete the contracts, enabling a significant increase in the generating capacity in a number of cities, most notably Caracas.

The energy shortages in Venezuela are also part of the reason for Derwick's rapid growth and development. One of the more intriguing aspects of the company has been its ability to handle the rapid expansion without suffering through the growing pains emerging companies traditionally experience.

“Our situation with our company in Venezuela has been unique,” said Pedro Trebbau Lopez. “We were put in a fairly unusual situation that carried a lot of risk, and not only we were able to handle it, we were able to come out very successfully. While we are proud of what we have already accomplished, we are still looking to grow. We feel that Spain can offer us a number of great opportunities, and we certainly intend to explore all of the opportunities presented to us.”
