STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated HAR, the premium global audio and infotainment group, today launched JBL Tweet Music, a new digital experience that turns Tweets into music. For the first time, music fans can express their passion for music by creating and sharing their own custom songs -- all from within Twitter.

Just by Tweeting to @JBLAudio using #JBLGrammys or #JBLTweetMusic, each user is automatically entered to win the grand prize of a dream trip for two to attend the 57th GRAMMY Awards® in 2015 as well as JBL audio prizes including headphones, home audio products and portable speakers.

“JBL is a GRAMMY®-winning brand with a strong heritage of superior sound and innovation. With Tweet Music, we wanted to experiment with how we could bring sound design to new, social spaces,” said Dave Spinato, Global Director of Digital & Social Media for HARMAN. “Twitter is already known as a go-to resource for music discovery and sharing what's trending. JBL Tweet Music goes further, letting Twitter users become musical composers.”

"The GRAMMYs encourages innovation, and we think the combination of a powerful social platform like Twitter and a dynamic technology brand like Harman can provide music fans with something engaging and unique," said Evan Green, CMO of The Recording Academy ®.

How it works

Type a Tweet to @JBLAudio using #JBLGrammys or #JBLTweetMusic to turn Tweets into music:

Tweet Music converts the letters and phrases of a tweet into a sound clip that is remixed into a song
  • Listen
Get a Tweet back from @JBLAudio, listen to a custom-made track and share it with friends
  • Win
By creating a Tweet, users are automatically entered to win a fantasy trip to attend the 2015 Grammys or other incredible JBL audio prizes

Consumers' musical tweets will be available and archived on a personal dashboard on the www.JBLTweetMusic.com microsite. Consumers also have the opportunity for their tweets to be selected and showcased in upcoming JBL Tweet Music digital media and advertisements. By simply logging in with their Twitter name and password, consumers can play their musical Tweets and also browse through to play or share any Tweet they see on Twitter sent to @JBLAudio using #JBLGrammys or #JBLTweetMusic.
