Visteon Electronics Opens Manufacturing Plant in Rayong, Thailand

RAYONG, Thailand, Oct. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Visteon Electronics, a business unit of Visteon Corporation VC, today officially launched a new automotive electronics production facility in Rayong, Thailand.

Visteon Automotive Electronics (Thailand) Limited supplies instrument clusters, audio products and multi-function displays to Ford, Mazda, Nissan and Honda, including electronic clusters for motorcycles. The 4,700-square meter (50,600-square foot) site, with provisions for future expansion, on the Hemaraj Industrial Estate consolidates Visteon Electronics' manufacturing in Thailand and employs approximately 190 people.

The plant incorporates a class 100k clean room with conductive floors, an injection molding shop, a durability test lab and metrology lab, among other facilities.

The Rayong facility strengthens Visteon Electronics' footprint in Southeast Asia, which includes manufacturing facilities in Chennai, India, and Jakarta, Indonesia; and engineering, software, design and development centers in Chennai and Pune, India.
