San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2013

The San Diego Chapter of AITP (Association of Information Technology Professional's), has joined forces with several national business associations to host San Diego's 5th Annual Cloud Computing Conference. They have invited cloud computing experts from across the nation to share their knowledge, solid case studies and predictions for the future. Keynotes include: Peter Coffee Salesforce.com's Vice President and Head of Platform Research and Mark Field, Chief Technology Officer and Head of Software Engineering for Life Technologies.

In these times of economic uncertainty and business consolidation, cloud computing provides options when it comes to managing a business more effectively. But what does it mean to go into the "cloud"? And who is actually using it and making it work. What about security concerns? How does one cut through vendor hype and successfully deploy a cloud solution?

This is not the typical conference filled with theory and conjecture; it's a real world look at what's being done in cloud computing today. According to Peter Coffee “The time for the cloud is now, whether an IT department thinks the cloud is sufficiently ‘mature' or not: the purpose of the cloud is not merely to speed the pace, or cut the cost, of any of our past conceptions of what IT does or what IT is for. If you treat the cloud as merely a way to modernize your IT, that's all you'll get.” Source: http://diginomica.com/2013/07/11/cloud-wisely/

Peter Coffee has 30 years' experience as a consultant, educator, author, and lecturer, he has been instrumental in leading the charge for new technologies and practices with an emphasis on information security and software development.

The San Diego Chapter of AITP has worked tirelessly to secure renowned industry experts who have implemented various aspects of the cloud at an enterprise level. The goal is to help IT and business professionals see real world examples of cloud success. Attendees will learn firsthand about the opportunities and challenges when implementing cloud computing solutions. In addition to the featured speakers there will be multiple user based panel discussions, case studies and a cloud security panel discussion with expert panelists who work with the cloud and deal with security issues every day.

"If you stop to think about Cloud Computing, the possibilities are only limited by one's imagination. Many organizations are currently trying to reposition themselves to take full advantage of what the cloud has to offer. My team and I have worked hard to find experts who are helping enterprises and SMBs move to the cloud every day. We have coupled these experts with case studies from real world examples of successful cloud implementation..." Said Marc Clark, Chair of the Cloud Computing Conference and San Diego AITP board member.

For additional information and to register, go to The Cloud Computing Conference Website. The cost is $95.00 which includes breakfast, lunch & parking.
