Gianluca Tognon, specialist in food science and human nutrition, has uploaded in his website an e-book, where he explains the consequences of global warming on human health and food safety.

As the WHO writes on its website (http://www.who.int/topics/climate/en/), “It is now generally acknowledged that the global climate is changing, as the earth becomes warmer. This change has the potential to affect human health in a number of ways, for instance by altering the geographic range and seasonality of certain infectious diseases, disturbing food-producing ecosystems, and increasing the frequency of extreme weather events, such as hurricanes.”

A lot of information is available online on this topic, but the enormous political implications connected to these issues, make the reliability of many of these online sources questionable. Gianluca Tognon is an Italian nutritionist who works as an epidemiologist at Gothenburg university, and has a long experience in both research and science divulgation, including health, human nutrition and environmental issues connected to health and nutrition (for more details see http://www.gianlucatognon.com).
