Gianluca Tognon, specialist in food science and human nutrition, has published an e-book in his website, where he explains the consequences of global warming on human health and food safety. According to numerous scientists indeed, climate change is the biggest threat to health of the twenty-first century and is contributing to the increase of diseases and premature deaths all around the world.

Gianluca Tognon, specialist in food science and human nutrition, has uploaded in his website an e-book, where he explains the consequences of global warming on human health and food safety.

As the WHO writes on its website (http://www.who.int/topics/climate/en/), “It is now generally acknowledged that the global climate is changing, as the earth becomes warmer. This change has the potential to affect human health in a number of ways, for instance by altering the geographic range and seasonality of certain infectious diseases, disturbing food-producing ecosystems, and increasing the frequency of extreme weather events, such as hurricanes.”
