HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Radisys® Corporation RSYS, a market leader enabling wireless infrastructure solutions, today announced that Qucell Incorporation, a U.S. based company, has selected Radisys' Trillium® TOTALeNodeB software for its LTE small cell portfolio with the aim of developing residential, enterprise and public access small cells that support up to 64 users. Radisys enables a scalable, dual-mode solution that delivers high performance small cells.

Qucell chose Radisys' TOTALeNodeB small cell solution for its LTE product portfolio because of TOTALeNodeB's scalability, performance advantages on next generation silicon, and Radisys' road map commitments with continued investment to support LTE standards and small cell applications development, including Operations Administration and Maintenance (OAM). Radisys provides a complete small cell product solution for LTE, enabling both FDD and TDD products. The company also supports dual mode with its 3G Femtotality software. These advantages, when combined with Radisys' commitment to enabling rapid deployment with local support, provide the shortest time to deployment.

“We turned to Radisys because its TOTALeNodeB solution demonstrated best performance and scalability, along with a well-constructed roadmap to deliver for current and next-generation technology,” said Mark Choi, CEO, Qucell. “Radisys offers high-performing and cost-effective LTE and 3G small cell software solutions—making the decision an obvious one for us as we explored multi-mode solution options to carry us into the next generation of small cell development.”

“Our extensive experience with deploying 3G and LTE small cell solutions along with our ability to provide Qucell with the flexibility to choose the optimal silicon for each of its small cell products proved to be the winning combination,” said Amit Agarwal, vice president and general manager, Software and Solutions, Radisys. “In addition, Qucell is able to leverage our local support and wide array of professional services to achieve much faster time to market in the aggressive Korean small cell market and the worldwide market.”

Currently, Radisys' small cell solutions are being deployed in the Korean, Japanese and North American markets. For more information about TOTALeNodeB, visit the product page.
