The water sports clinic will focus on both windsurfing and stand up paddling, an introductory way to learn to surf on flat water with small waves. The paddling boards can be turned into windsurfing boards by attaching sails.

“This course is aimed to be fun, a 'get into the ocean' tropical holiday as well as being extremely informative about safety, environment and sea conditions,” says Cropas, who stresses the clinic is ideal for those who've wanted to take part in water sports but have been intimidated by "big wave" windsurfing. Pritchard and Cropas will introduce students to windsurfing, SUP and general water awareness in a gentle, safe environment. “Students will return home more fit than when they left because these sports do have a way of whipping you into shape,” adds Cropas.

The clinic is geared to participants at all levels, with Cropas teaching the beginning and intermediate levels and Pritchard focusing in on more advanced students. The enthusiastic duo work individually with students and they emphasize the only prerequisite is a love for the ocean and wind.

The program will start each day with breakfast at DUO, one of Four Seasons Resort Maui's three award-winning restaurants. Each morning, the coaches will work with students to build skills and learn techniques using an on-land simulator. They also will review video footage from the prior afternoon's on-the-water instruction, either for Stand Up Paddling or windsurfing. Both are dedicated to spreading the joy of windsurfing.
