Eunice Porter grew up in a large family in a farming community on the western prairies of Canada. She left the “nest” after high school to attend bible school, and then teacher's college. She taught school in northern Saskatchewan for three years, and subsequently served as a missionary teacher in Ethiopia for several years. She is now retired from a career in banking. This, her first book, came about after a life-changing meeting with God during one of many spiritually dry seasons in her life.
