Over 400 Women to Shop CAbi for Free at Heart of CAbi Foundation Fashion Event
Sandy Matching Program Provides $50,000 in Relief Funds
BELLE HARBOR, N.Y., Jan. 3, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- National women's clothing brand, Carol Anderson by invitation (CAbi), and its charitable arm, the Heart of CAbi Foundation (HOCF), will hold a shopping event for women affected by Superstorm Sandy at the Belle Harbor Yacht Club on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 10AM – 2PM EST – LOCAL MEDIA INVITED TO ATTEND. Over 400 female survivors of Superstorm Sandy will enjoy a break from their devastating loss and experience a few hours of fun while shopping brand new CAbi garments. Each woman will feel the luxury of being serviced, in an effort to bring them more than basic fundamentals, but restore their sense of femininity and normalcy. This is an event hosted by women who love fashion, who want to bring fashion back to these survivors. The event has already reached maximum capacity for shoppers (recipients), and garments will be given while supplies last. Clothing is provided to women who have lost their homes and/or their entire wardrobes as a result of Superstorm Sandy. Shortly after the storm, the HOCF announced its Sandy Matching Program where donations would be matched by HOCF up to $50,000 with funds going to partner organizations supporting Sandy relief efforts.
