AIAA Conference in Dallas to Host Discussion on F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Developments and Progress

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) will host a discussion on “F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Developments and Progress” from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, in the Grapevine 1 room of the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, Grapevine, Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth area). The panel is being held in conjunction with the 51^st AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting, January 7–10.

The panel will present a complete overview of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, and provide insight on the aircraft's role in military operations. Speakers and topics include:

• Tom Burbage, executive vice president and general manager, F-35 JSF Program Integration, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, who will present the keynote address: “F-35 JSF Program Overview and Update”
• Tyler Evans, director, F135 Programs, Pratt & Whitney: “Propulsion Systems Overview and F135 Update”
• Phil Edwards, program manager, 5th Generation Improvements & Derivatives, Northrop Grumman Corporation: “Sensor Systems”
• J.D. McFarlan, vice president, F-35 Test and Verification, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company: “Test and Verification”
