AIAA Conference in Dallas to Host Discussion on F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Developments and Progress

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) will host a discussion on “F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Developments and Progress” from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, in the Grapevine 1 room of the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, Grapevine, Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth area). The panel is being held in conjunction with the 51st AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting, January 7–10.

The panel will present a complete overview of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, and provide insight on the aircraft's role in military operations. Speakers and topics include:

  • Tom Burbage, executive vice president and general manager, F-35 JSF Program Integration, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, who will present the keynote address: “F-35 JSF Program Overview and Update”
  • Tyler Evans, director, F135 Programs, Pratt & Whitney: “Propulsion Systems Overview and F135 Update”
  • Phil Edwards, program manager, 5th Generation Improvements & Derivatives, Northrop Grumman Corporation: “Sensor Systems”
  • J.D. McFarlan, vice president, F-35 Test and Verification, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company: “Test and Verification”
