Precision Products Expands Machining Capacity

TUNNEL HILL, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Precision Products, a locally owned ISO:9001 company specializing in sales, service and repair of equipment for the automotive, power generation, food, beverage, medical, aerospace and textile industries has announced an expansion of their CNC machining operations with the installation of two new Mazak CNC machining centers. The new generation 5-axis machining centers are the first of their type to be installed in the USA. 5-Axis machining offers all the functionality of a traditional CNC vertical mill along with a CNC turning center built into one highly accurate machine.

The new CNC machines will be installed at their new 150,000 square foot Dalton, GA site. The new equipment will offer significant increases in accuracy and their ability to service their customers. According to Shannon Bowling, Sr. Engineer/Programmer, “The acquisition of these machines is a big upgrade from any other 5-axis machining center available on the market today and they can hold tolerances of .0003”.” Precision is the first company in the USA to obtain these new machines which include an all new Mazatrol Matrix 2 controller offering unmatched operator interface allowing faster setup time and more accuracy in production.
