Meatpacking District art for AIDS Day

Bright Lights Business (BLB) expressed approval for Belvedere Vodka's plan to turn Manhattan's Meatpacking District in to an outdoor nightclub and interactive art exhibit in support of World AIDS Day following the announcement that company will be taking over the Meatpacking District through Dec. 1.

BLB is excited to see the main event, slated for Nov. 29, and the transformation of Gansevoort Plaza in the heart of New York City next week as Belvedere Vodka and DJ duo Chromeo create an outdoor nightclub in the Meatpacking District filled with music and light in a tribute to (RED)™ and World AIDS Day.

Belvedere Vodka partnered with (RED) in 2011 to raise money and awareness for HIV/AIDS and this year decided to take it a step further with a huge outdoor concert and art installation in support of World AIDS Day. The free outdoor nightclub will feature a light show, 20-foot neon trees and a DJ performance.

BLB supports the efforts to raise awareness for this devastating disease and feels this outdoor nightclub, set to take place in the Meatpacking District, where some of the hottest nightclubs in New York City call home, will bring the recognition organizers are hoping for.

World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, has seen people across the world unite in the fight against AIDS since 1988. Belvedere Vodka partnered with (RED) in an effort to see the first AIDS-free generation born by 1995. The Meatpacking District is home to some of the hottest New York nightlife, including several nightclubs and restaurants owned by Mark Birnbaum.

The iconic Meatpacking District will be turned in to an outdoor nightclub and art exhibit in recognition of World AIDS Day, thanks to Belvedere Vodka and (RED). The nightclub will take place Nov. 29 while the art installation will remain through Dec. 1.
