When companies have their business in architectural ironmongery, sometimes they need some heavyweight help.
And that's what Constant required. A 3.5-tonne Fuso Canter had been doing the job but the company needed more payload capacity, so Constant stepped up to a 7.5-tonne model.

The 7.5-tonne Canter has a strong, lightweight chassis, which allows market-leading payload potential. Oldham-based Constant's new Canter 7C15 curtainsider can carry well over four tonnes, which is at least half a tonne more than an average 7.5-tonner could haul.
The truck is powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine driving through the DUONIC dual-clutch automated gearbox system.

The Canter 7C15 was supplied by Manchester Mercedes-Benz dealer Enza, which also recently supplied Constant with a 3.5-tonne Canter 3C13. Enza also gave Cantor assistance with the Operator's Licence, as the introduction of 7.5-tonner marked the first time the company had to deal with the system and the paperwork that it entails.

Constant also worked closely with Truck Craft Bodies, of Stalybridge, on the design of the body.

The two Canters are now delivering Constant Group products. The 3.5-tonner serves architectural ironmongery customers with lighter loads while the 7.5-tonne truck delivers precision sheet metal items nationwide.
