S2 Games and Heroes of Newerth Storm DreamHack Winter 2012

KALAMAZOO, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

S2 Games, producer and developer of the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) title Heroes of Newerth (HoN), returns to DreamHack with the 2012 DreamHoN Winter Championships, Nov. 22-25 in Jönköping, Sweden. Representing some of the world's top HoN players, ten invite-only teams have the chance to win cash and prizes totaling $60,000 – the largest MOBA prize pool available at DreamHack Winter 2012.

Three North American/European (NA/EU) teams – GaryJohnson2012, Tt eSports, and Q sQuad – emerged victorious from the DreamHoN: Destination DreamHack qualifiers in October, each winning their share of a $10,000 prize pool and travel stipends to compete in the 2012 DreamHoN Winter Championships. They join NA/EU teams compLexity Gaming, winners of the DreamHoN Online Summer Championships, and Trademark eSports, winners of DreamHoN OSC: Redemption.

A year's worth of bragging rights and national pride are on the line for each of the 10 teams competing in the DreamHon Winter 2012 Championships. The five teams representing the NA/EU region will be joined by five additional teams from some of the most emergent regions in eSports. Two teams will represent the Garena HoN South East Asia client, Team MRR and Orange eSports, as well as Team Cats from the Garena HoN Commonwealth of Independent States client. Teams vTi MSi.Dynasty and paiN Gaming Razer will represent the Axeso5 Latin America client.
