Popular Graphic Design website DesignContest.com launches T-shirt contest to support the annual October PACER anti-bullying campaign.

(PRWEB) October 26, 2012

Design Contest is running a T-shirt design contest throughout October to raise awareness of the problem of school bullying. October is national Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, a campaign that has been promoted by the PACER organization since 2006. The cause started as a national campaign in the United States but has become increasingly popular around the world as people become more vigilant about preventing children from going through unnecessary trauma. Design Contest are looking for striking, original designs that portray this anti-bullying message in a clear and accessible fashion to help reduce incidents of bullying in the United States and around the world. They are looking to find a winning entry that can be worn by adults and children alike to spread the anti-bullying message to as many people as possible. Sharie Voss, from Design Contest, believes the campaign can make a significant impact:

“We are looking for a fresh, easily recognizable T-shirt design that will make a lasting impression on people long after October has passed.”

No matter what form it takes though, bullying is an extremely damaging type of behaviour that can leave scars for years to come. The National Center For Education Statistics reports that almost a third of students between the ages of twelve and eighteen are bullied on a regular basis. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2010, one in five adolescents admitted to being a victim of cyber bullying at some point in their lives. Design Contest is fully committed to helping stomp out bullying in its all forms and making October 2012 the most productive anti-bullying month yet.

Design Contest is an online graphic design platform that was founded in 2003. It provides a creative platform whereby small businesses can acquire company logos, business cards, website designs or T-shirts by working with a vast team of experienced designers. A cash prize, set by the contest holder, is awarded to the designer who provides the best design for the business. Contest holders can also upgrade their contests to increase visibility and attract a broader range of designs. Contests can also be “blinded”, meaning designers cannot see each others work, to promote creativity or extended if no appropriate designs are found within the initial time frame.
Check out designcontest.com to browse all contests currently underway. You can also register a contest of your own on the website. For any queries, you can contact Design Contest via the LiveChat services on the website or call 888-906-1888 between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (GMT), Monday to Friday.
