New Home Construction Resumes at Walnut Creek with Bonterra Builders

INDIAN LAND, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Bonterra Builders is constructing new homes in Walnut Creek, the Lancaster County community formerly known as Edenmoor.

The resumption of home building started by Bonterra last week is the latest milestone in Walnut Creek's transformation. Since Edenmoor Land Acquisition (ELA) closed on the property at the end of October, the community has undergone extensive improvements. In addition to fixing the roads and stabilizing the community, ELA donated the land and building for Lancaster County EMS Station No. 8 to the county in December. During the dedication of the EMS station, the community's new name of Walnut Creek was announced.

“We are about three months ahead of our neighborhood improvement and beautification schedule, which has resulted in an overwhelming interest from builders,” said Kyle Corkum, managing partner of LStar, part of ELA. “We're delighted that Bonterra is the first builder to return to this community, and we are in the process of selecting additional builders that will meet our high architectural and design standards.”

Bonterra has begun the construction of three homes. ELA estimates that as many as 25 new homes will be under construction in Walnut Creek by multiple builders within approximately 60 days.
