LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Hurricane Electric, the world's leading IPv6-native Internet backbone and colocation provider, today announced that Owen DeLong, Hurricane Electric's IPv6 Evangelist and Director of Professional Services, will speak at IMN's second annual Fall Forum on Financing, Investing and Real Estate Development for Data Centers, which takes place November 9-10 at the Hyatt Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, November 9 at 11:55 a.m., Owen DeLong will be featured on a panel titled “Global Expansion Strategies: What has worked for you?” The panel's detailed discussion of global expansion by telcos and large independent data center operators will highlight some of the major challenges of expanding outside the United States. Participants will receive an in-depth analysis of expected global growth in the coming year, local market evaluation and practices, and what tools operators need to compete in the global marketplace. DeLong will join other global deployment experts, including Luiz Zamagna of DCT Realty, Keith M. Wilson of PAETEC Holding Corp, and Everett Thompson of the WIRED Real Estate Group. The panel will be moderated by Mike Sapien of Ovum.

“I look forward to sharing predictions of 2012's global financial landscape for data-center operators and customers alike,” said Owen DeLong. “There are many factors that large operators and telcos must consider, including the global move to IPv6 and planning a global path to deployment.”

In addition to offering DNS and tunnel broker services, Hurricane Electric shows its IPv6 leadership by offering free IPv6 certification, which helps keep the IT and networking community abreast of new IPv6 developments. Hurricane Electric also recently formed a Professional Services Division to help enterprises cost-effectively prepare and transition to IPv6.
