Dow & Argonne National Laboratory Collaborating on New Battery Materials [#DowInvestorDay]

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The Dow Chemical Company DOW and the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Argonne National Laboratory today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a multi-year research collaboration to jointly develop the next generation of materials for advanced battery technologies.

Dow and Argonne will be collaborating on several new materials with the intent to improve the performance, cost competitiveness and adoption of these advanced materials in the energy storage industry.

“We look forward to this collaboration with Argonne on the development of new battery material technology to help meet the current and future demands in the rapidly expanding energy storage industry,” said David Klanecky, senior business director for Dow Energy Materials. “Dow's efforts to develop a fully integrated portfolio of advanced material solutions will help achieve better performing and lower cost batteries.”
