TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 2, 2009) - On November 2nd, MobileMonday Toronto will explore mobile video and film content from the point of view of both creators and distributors, and will feature a sneak peak 30-minute screening of the world's best mobile films, provided by MobiFest. An industry panel with audience Q & A will be part of the session. Meet the producers, directors and creators of this emerging content on November 2nd. This is a free event but registration is required.

With recent introductions such as the iPhone 3GS and other powerful handsets, mobile video usage is poised to grow. In an April 2009 Nielsen study, it was discovered that 37% of iPhone users watch video on their phone from an estimated base of 6.4 million active subscribers. The study concluded that these users were 6 times more likely to watch video when compared to the typical subscriber.

The panel will be moderated by noted entrepreneur, Duncan Kennedy, President of Mobigardens, and creator of Mobifest, the world's largest independent mobile film festival.
