LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Cooper Tire has added a new 40 inch size to its popular Discoverer STT PRO light truck product line, which will be featured in the Cooper booth (#43019) at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas Nov. 1 through 4.

Since its introduction in 2015, the Discoverer STT PRO product line has been winning accolades from the off-road community for its ability to tackle the toughest terrain—from the thickest mud to the rockiest trails—all while maintaining excellent on-road manners not typically found in a dedicated off-road tire. Now, Cooper is expanding its Discoverer STT PRO product line with the addition of a 40 inch tire, a sought after size in the off-road community as it provides extra height for clearing obstacles. The tire is now available in size 40X13.50R17.

The Discoverer STT PRO provides superior reliability and durability with Armor-Tek3 construction that adds strength to the sidewall and tread area, and mud release dimples and scoops that prevent build-up and improve traction in off-road conditions. The Discoverer STT PRO also features a silica-infused tread compound to improve traction in wet conditions, and lowers rolling resistance for improved fuel mileage.

"Cooper continuously evaluates industry trends and consumer demand to assure that we are providing product solutions that deliver exceptional value," said Scott Jamieson, Cooper's Director of Product Management for North America. "We believe the new 40 inch size will allow the Discoverer STT PRO line to reach a larger piece of the growing outdoor enthusiast market."
