JPMorgan Chase to Donate $150,000 to Aid Hurricane Matthew Relief Efforts

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

JPMorgan Chase & Co. will donate $150,000 from its foundation to support the response to Hurricane Matthew. The grants will assist the American Red Cross and the International Medical Corps in providing immediate relief to those affected by the hurricane in the United States, Haiti and Bahamas.

"The devastation caused by Hurricane Matthew is catastrophic," said Martin Marron, CEO of Latin America and Canada, JPMorgan Chase. "We stand with those communities in the U.S., Haiti and Bahamas who have suffered greatly and now need vital resources to get back on their feet."

This support will be used by the International Medical Corps to provide health, water and medical care, help prevent the spread of cholera and meet other urgent needs, while the Red Cross will use it to provide shelter and supplies to 70,000 affected individuals.
