From Innovation to Celebration: Pratt & Whitney Canada to have Strong Presence at the World's Largest Event for Aviation Enthusiasts: EAA AirVenture 2016

OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN--(Marketwired - July 22, 2016) - Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) will have a strong presence at EAA AirVenture 2016, the largest gathering of aviation enthusiasts in the world. P&WC is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. UTX.

Highlights of P&WC's presence at the 2016 AirVenture include:



-- Promotion of Epic's World Tour kicked off in St. Hubert, Quebec and
crowned at this year's EAA AirVenture. Follow Epic details at

-- Promotion of an overseas flight that carried P&WC President John Saabas
aboard a single-engine PT6A-powered TBM930 from Farnborough, UK, to St-
Hubert, Quebec, Canada, on July 15 and 16 - with a few stops along the

-- The selection of the PT6A-140 series engines by multiple aircraft
manufacturers and converters. P&WC's PT6A-140 series engines raise the
bar by setting new industry benchmarks for performance and efficiency in
the utility and agricultural segments. It is the most powerful and
reliable engine in its class and delivers 5% lower specific fuel
consumption.
-- A special event to mark the delivery of the 1,400th Pilatus PC-12
aircraft (PT6A-67P engine) and the 20th anniversary of the creation of
Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd (Pilbal) in Broomfield, Colorado. Pilbal
provides finishing (interior and exterior livery) to 70% of Pilatus
aircraft and conducts the marketing, sales and servicing activities for
Pilatus in North and South America.
-- News around P&WC's innovative Oil Analysis Technology Program as it
continues to build momentum as a next-generation on-wing monitoring
solution for preventive maintenance - including a call out to PT6A
customers to join the customer trial as "early adopters" of the
technology in its final stages of development.
-- A PT6A seminar to take place on Friday, July 29, 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
at Forum 3. The seminar will provide insight into the PT6A engine
design, operation and maintenance.
-- PT6A vision, customer service and pilot testimonials featured in the EAA
AirVenture Show Daily publications and throughout P&WC's social media
channels.
-- P&WC onsite at Hangar B at EAA AirVenture: P&WC engine and aftermarket
experts will be available throughout the event to answer questions from
customers and other show participants. Two PT6A engine cut-aways will be
on display.
