Gannett Domestic Publishing names Dan Norselli president of Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and D&C Digital

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

The Domestic Publishing division of Gannett Co., Inc. GCI today named Dan Norselli, formerly vice president of sales at the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle and D&C Digital, president of the Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle, effective August 1. Norselli succeeds Michael G. Kane, who earlier was named president/East Group, Domestic Publishing and leads Gannett's local media operations in more than 50 markets.

A native of Rochester, Norselli started his career with Gannett in 2012 in Rochester as digital director. In 2013, he was promoted to senior digital and retail director and was awarded the Gannett Chairman Award. In 2014, Norselli was named president and publisher of the Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader, and in October 2015, moved back to Rochester and was named vice president of sales.

Prior to joining Gannett, Norselli was a sales leader for Monster.com, responsible for national and global accounts. He earned his MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology, having earlier earned a Bachelor of Science in Leadership from Northeastern University in Boston. Norselli and his wife, Catherine, have three children.
