USHCC Received Grant From The UPS Foundation

WASHINGTON, DC --(Marketwired - June 14, 2016) - The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is delighted to have received a $50,000 grant from The UPS Foundation, which drives corporate citizenship and philanthropic programs for UPS UPS. The grant supported the USHCC's 2015 National Convention, which was held in Houston, Texas last September.

Last year's convention was the USHCC's most widely attended event in its history, convening thousands of Hispanic entrepreneurs, as well as top corporate executives, government officials, and representatives from local chambers and business associations throughout the country.

"The USHCC is grateful for our strategic partnership with UPS. Through their generosity, our organization convened the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in American history," said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "This contribution helped establish countless connections and contracting opportunities for our members, driving local economies throughout the nation, and further illustrating how UPS truly is 'synchronizing the world of commerce.'"

Established in 1951 and based in Atlanta, Ga., The UPS Foundation identifies specific areas where its backing clearly impacts social issues. In support of this strategic approach, The UPS Foundation has identified the following focus areas for giving: volunteerism, diversity, community safety and the environment.

In 2015, UPS and its employees, active and retired, invested more than $110 million in charitable giving around the world. The UPS Foundation can be found on the web at UPS.com/foundation. To get UPS news direct, visit pressroom.ups.com/RSS.

"The UPS Foundation is honored to support the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's National Convention," said Eduardo Martinez, President of The UPS Foundation and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at UPS. "Our goal is to fund powerful programs that make a lasting difference to the global community."
