Wells Fargo Donates $100,000 for Alberta Wildfire Relief Efforts

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Wells Fargo & Company WFC announced today that the company will donate 100,000 Canadian dollars to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts related to the wildfire that has been burning in northern Alberta, Canada. The fire, which started May 1, 2016 near Fort McMurray, has resulted in the evacuation of thousands of residents.

"Wells Fargo stands in support of the many people who have had their lives and livelihoods uprooted by this disaster," said Perry Englot, managing director of Wells Fargo's Calgary Energy Group. "We hope that our contribution will help the Red Cross provide critical services to those who were displaced."

Additionally Wells Fargo's Go FarTM Rewards customers can contribute any amount of their redeemable rewards balance as a donation to American Red Cross Disaster Relief from today through May 16 by accessing their rewards account at GoFarRewards.wf.com or calling the Go FarTM Rewards Service Center at 1-877-517-1358.
