Virginia's Spotsylvania County Public Schools Chooses ERP Solution from Tyler Technologies

Tyler Technologies, Inc. TYL today announced that Virginia's Spotsylvania County Public Schools has selected Tyler's Munis^® enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. The agreement includes implementation, training and related professional services.

The school division conducted a competitive review for a new financial management and human resources and payroll solution because the division's business needs had outgrown its legacy system's capabilities. In their search for a new system, school division leaders emphasized the need for an integrated ERP solution that could automate many of the administration's processes. The division also wanted a comprehensive human resources and payroll solution that could track personnel data from application through retirement within the K-12 environment. The division also sought advanced employee self-service capabilities.

The Virginia school division invested in a wide range of Munis applications, including financials, human resources and payroll, employee self-service and Tyler Content Manager. Munis is a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) solution that provides powerful reporting and analytical tools. Tyler has decades of ERP experience with Virginia school divisions.

The integrated nature of Munis will allow the school division to eliminate standalone systems, which should increase efficiencies as it pertains to business operations and transaction processing.

Spotsylvania County Public Schools serves approximately 23,700 students in 29 schools.
