LifePoint Health Names Two Directors to Board

BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

LifePoint Health LPNT today announced that Kermit Crawford, retired president of pharmacy, health and wellness for the Walgreen Company, and Jana Schreuder, executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) for Northern Trust, have been named to its Board of Directors.

Until his retirement in 2014, Crawford served for more than 30 years with the Walgreen Company, the largest drugstore chain in the United States with more than $103 billion in sales reported in fiscal year 2015. Most recently, he was president of the Walgreen Company's pharmacy, health and wellness division, where he was responsible for all aspects of strategic, operational and financial management for the division. Crawford also is a member of the Board of Directors of Allstate, the second-largest personal lines insurer in the United States. In addition, Crawford has served on the Board of Councilors of the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy and in 2014 joined the school as executive in residence and senior advisor to the Dean.

Schreuder currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) of Northern Trust, a leading provider of wealth management, asset servicing, asset management and banking to corporations, institutions, affluent families and individuals that reported revenues of $4.7 billion in 2015. She is primarily responsible for business operations and enabling Northern Trust's businesses to grow faster, more efficiently and more profitably. Prior to her appointment as COO in September 2014, Schreuder served in various capacities with Northern Trust during her more than 35-year tenure, including as president, wealth management; president, operations and technology; and chief risk officer. Schreuder also serves as a board member for a privately-held company, as well as Chicago-area education and arts organizations.

Both Crawford and Schreuder have been appointed as Class II Directors for the 10-member Board, effective March 10, 2016.
