NBC's Newest Reality Series 'Little Big Shots' Makes Big Debut

Comcast Corporation CMCSA's NBC scored a big win Tuesday night as the network's collaboration with Steve Harvey and Ellen DeGeneres proved to be a ratings winner. "Little Big Shots," a variety series featuring young child performers drew a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demo as well as 12.7 million total viewers. For NBC, that is its highest-rated alternative series premiere since April 2011, when "The Voice" first bowed. "Shots" also earns the accolade of the most-watched alternative series premiere on any of the big broadcast networks since ABC's "Secret Millionaire" debuted in March 2011. For Harvey, this marks his latest successful series that also includes a primetime version of "Celebrity Family Feud," which was renewed for a second season to air this summer on ABC. For NBC, this marks the network's fourth successful launch for the 2015-2016 season following "Blindspot," "Chicago Med" and "Shade of Blue." The series moves into its regular slot (without a cushy "Voice" lead-in) this Sunday night when it premieres at 8 p.m. ET.
