AutoNation presented a $1 MILLION Check to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at the first ever AutoNation Cure Bowl

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AutoNation, Inc. AN, America's largest automotive retailer, announced today that Mike Jackson, the company's Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President and his wife Alice Jackson, presented a check for $1 million to Myra Biblowit, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) at the first ever AutoNation Cure Bowl at the Orlando Citrus Bowl. This was the largest corporate charitable gift ever presented as part of a college Bowl Game.

The AutoNation Cure Bowl is to benefit BCRF, this year's largest private funder of breast cancer research in the world. BCRF is also the highest rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. with an A+ rating from CharityWatch and the top four-star rating from Charity Navigator. 

In 2013, AutoNation shifted its charitable focus to aiding in finding a cure for cancer by increasing the attention placed on research, awareness and preventative measures. Since then, AutoNation has raised $5 million for cancer related charities and has committed $1,000,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to invest in the world's most promising research.
