Food 4 Less/Foods Co - The Prices Bring You In, the Quality Brings You Back.

Beginning November 11, 2015 and continuing through January 26, 2016, Food 4 Less/Foods Co customers and associates may support local food banks by donating spare change in collection canisters located at the check stands in their neighborhood Food 4 Less stores in Southern California and the greater Chicago area, and at Foods Co supermarkets in Central and Northern California.

All donations will be distributed to food banks and hunger relief organizations in the communities served by Food 4 Less and Foods Co stores. These important funds will help provide food banks the products they need to feed the hungry during the holidays and throughout the year.

"Assisting people who need help during the holidays and throughout the year is a priority at Food 4 Less/Foods Co," said Bryan Kaltenbach, president of Food 4 Less/Foods Co. "This checkstand fundraising campaign provides an opportunity for our customers and associates to drive funds to local food banks to help hungry families this holiday season."

Food banks benefiting from this year's holiday "Bringing Hope to the Table" fundraising campaign include: Central Valley Food Bank (Fresno), Feeding America San Diego, FIND Food Bank (Indio), Food Share (Oxnard), Greater Chicago Food Depository, Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, San Francisco Foodbank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, and Second Harvest Food Bank Serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

Food 4 Less' ongoing commitment to bring as much food as possible to hungry families also includes its company-wide Perishables Donations Partnership (PDP) program. The program allows fresh, wholesome food such as meat, produce and dairy products to be donated directly from Food 4 Less and Foods Co stores to local food banks that are able to safely handle perishable foods.

Through the PDP program, Food 4 Less and Foods Co stores have donated more than 4.3 million pounds of perishable foods to food banks this year. This represents more than 3.6 million meals for hungry families.
