Webinar: Improving Student Outcomes with Virtual Learning

Connections Learning by Pearson-sponsored Web seminar for superintendents, technology leaders, and administrators will explore three K-12 virtual learning trends

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) October 20, 2015

Most school districts are utilizing a variety of digital learning resources, according to Keeping Pace With Digital K-12 Digital Learning (2014), many to help ensure that students are ready for college and career, compensate for teacher shortages in critical areas, help to meet the requirements of Common Core and state standards, and get the most out of limited budget resources.

"Online learning continues to be leveraged in district programs to foster personalized study, increase graduation rates, and help high school students get a head start on college and/or career," said Mickey Revenaugh, Director of New School Models for Pearson.

Superintendents, technology leaders, administrators, and others interested in virtual, online or blended learning are invited to join Revenaugh and Stacie Batson, Principal of Robertson County Virtual School, for a free District Administration web seminar sponsored by Connections Learning by Pearson on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at 2 PM ET. Topics will include:

  • Three K-12 virtual learning trends and how they relate to the larger education picture
  • Changing student/parent expectations regarding virtual learning
  • Overcoming common challenges and barriers when implementing online learning
  • Providing opportunities for students who struggle in traditional school settings
  • Preparing students for self-directed learning

"As principal of a rural school district in Tennessee, I enjoy getting to learn about our students and tailoring their educational experiences to their individual needs," said Stacie Batson, Principal of Robertson County Virtual School. "I look forward to sharing how we implemented our virtual learning program and overcome common challenges to provide new learning opportunities for students."
