WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Ultimate Software ULTI, a leading provider of human capital management (HCM) solutions in the cloud, announced today that the company has been ranked #6 of the "100 Best Workplaces for Millennials in the U.S." Produced by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE, the list is based entirely on employee surveys from published Great Place to Work® Reviews. Ultimate Software ranks in the top 10 places to work for Millennials nationally for the second consecutive year in the Great Place to Work® Reviews.

In just 10 years, Millennials will make up 75 percent of the workforce. To compete for top talent and ensure their long-term success, businesses must prepare to appeal to and engage this unique generation of employees. Ultimate Software and the 99 other winning companies were selected based on the evaluations of nearly 90,000 Millennial-aged employees who were surveyed using the Trust Index©, Great Place to Work®'s employee assessment survey.

Ultimate's "People First" philosophy extends to employees who work in a highly collaborative, technologically advanced, and innovative work environment that young professionals often seek. Benefits at Ultimate include stock ownership for all employees upon hiring, 100% company-paid medical and dental coverage for employees and their families (including domestic partners), and a 35% match, with no cap, on 401(k) contributions. With millennials believing in balancing work and life, other benefits at Ultimate that may appeal to a younger workforce include a wellness coach; basketball court; cycling team; on-site massages and car washes; mortgage advisors; "chill" rooms for relaxing; games throughout the offices such as darts, foosball, air hockey, and Nintendo Wii; frequent recognition and rewards for individual, team, and company achievements; and more.

"At Ultimate, we believe in giving people an opportunity to grow professionally while keeping their personal well-being a priority," said Scott Scherr, president, founder, and CEO of Ultimate Software. "It is an honor to have our Millennial-aged employees recognize the unique culture we have created. Talent, passion, innovation, and teamwork characterize our people, and their quest for excellence has made our business a success."

"Companies focused on solid growth understand that it's critical for senior leaders to have an in-depth understanding of all their employees' experiences, regardless of their age, role in the organization, or any other demographic profile," says Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work® United States. "Great workplaces are constantly monitoring and analyzing their employees' workplace experiences and then taking action to improve them. Ranking on this list is a great indicator that these companies' efforts to create great workplaces are resonating with Millennials."

About the Best Workplaces for Millennials 2015

The 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials is a "best of the best" ranking. The winners come from the universe of companies with published Great Place to Work Reviews, meaning they are serious about creating a great workplace and comfortable with transparency. These companies either have proven to be great workplaces — earning a spot on the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For® list or the Best Small & Medium Workplaces list — or are dedicated to improving their cultures as shown by their willingness to survey employees and publish the results. Of the 465 companies with published Reviews recently surveyed using the Trust Index© Employee Survey, 315 surveyed at least 50 employees under age 35. Almost 90,000 Millennial-aged employees from these companies completed the survey and answered 58 questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace. This resulted in a total score for each company based entirely upon employee feedback. The Great Place to Work® Best Workplaces for Millennials 2015 ranking includes the best 100 companies ranked by these Millennials' scores.
