The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. Donates More Than $75,000 to Support Souls4Soles

The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc.raised more than $75,000 for Soles4Souls®Inc., an international not-for-profit that creates micro-enterprise programs through the distribution of shoes and clothing.

The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. BONT, parent company of Bon-Ton, Bergner's, Boston Store, Carson's, Elder-Beerman, Herberger's and Younkers department stores, raised more than $75,000 for Soles4Souls®Inc., an international not-for-profit that creates micro-enterprise programs through the distribution of shoes and clothing.

Bon-Ton donated $1 to Soles4Souls for every pair of shoes that was sold in select stores on March 21 for a total contribution of $15,000. From April 22 to April 28, customers received a coupon valid in the shoe department for every $3 donation to the cause, which raised a total of $61,400.

Since its launch in 2007, Soles4Souls has distributed shoes and clothing to people in need, both in the U.S. and overseas, and helped create self-sustaining jobs in countries that lack jobs that generate personal income. Bon-Ton has donated a total of $273,000 to Soles4Souls since 2010.
